Martin Craig

Martin Craig is an Italian-American guitarist and composer born in Turin.

His musical influences range from funk to rock, with an eye to blues and soul.

His career of over twenty years has led him to play on several tours both in Italy and abroad, supported by his bands, Ossi Duri and The Black City. He has collaborated with national and international artists such as Ike Willis (Frank Zappa), Elio, Lola Gulley, Bunna (Africa Unite) and many others.

The Black City is one of the most aggressive formations in the field of blues, soul and funk and is composed of Juan Carlos Calderin on drums, Tonino Chiodo on bass, Vito Miccolis on percussion, Max Rumiano on keyboards and Paolo Parpaglione on sax.

Their live show is characterized by a 100% Funky groove-based sound and an addictive energy that will not let you stand still.

After releasing three albums with The Black City between 2017 and 2021, Martin is now dedicating himself to his first solo project, whose debut album entitled "Blue Funk Trip" was released in June 2022 via Blue Mama records.
